EkoAyiti is an innovative clean-energy startup based in California with operations in Hinche, Haiti — on a mission to address deforestation and carbon emissions while meeting Haiti's growing demand for sustainable energy.
Haiti has lost more than 90% of its original forests, largely to wood-charcoal production. Yet charcoal remains the daily cooking fuel for the vast majority of households — and a livelihood for hundreds of thousands of people.
EkoAyiti was founded to resolve that tension: keep the energy and the jobs, lose the deforestation. By producing ecological charcoal from agricultural waste, we offer a product that's better for families, better for the economy, and better for the land.
We're launching in Hinche, Haiti, with a vision to become a leading renewable-energy provider across the markets we serve — and, in time, the wider Caribbean.

EkoAyiti's team spans entrepreneurship, management, technology, logistics, marketing, finance, agriculture, and eco-charcoal & biogas product development.
